Bonnie has been a nurse practitioner at Spectrum Health since 2013. She graduated from UBC with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2004 and the Master’s of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner program in 2011. She feels lucky to have a fulfilling career in healthcare where she can serve the community and help patients manage illness and strive for healthier living.
Prior to joining the team at Spectrum, Bonnie worked as a nurse practitioner at Integrative Wellness clinic as well as a registered nurse at St Paul’s Hospital in areas of acute medicine, cardiac surgery, cardiac cath lab, GI clinic and diabetes teaching centre. She has also worked in the downtown east side at DCHC providing primary care to marginalized clients. She says the best part of her job is having the opportunity to meet so many individuals from all walks of life and to hopefully make a positive impact. She has special interests in HIV care, sexual health, primary care and health promotion. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, grouse grinds, the gym, travelling, reading personal development books and yoga.
