Bio
Dr. Paul Fritsch grew up around Edmonton, Alberta and studied medicine at the University of Alberta, graduating in 2017 before moving to Calgary to complete his Family Medicine residency in 2019. Once graduated, he primarily worked as a locum physician, specializing in both inpatient and outpatient general medicine. In 2021, he moved to Vancouver where he continued to work as a community family physician. He was an HIV/STI prevention physician at the Health Initiative for Men clinic, an HIV primary care provider at the John Ruedy Clinic at St. Paul’s Hospital, and a general family medicine practitioner at Bayswater Family Practice, until officially joining the Spectrum team in 2024. His main areas of interest are HIV primary care, LGBTQ health, and evidence based general family medicine. He is also a clinical instructor for the UBC medical school, facilitating small group sessions for medical students. Outside of work, he enjoys running triathlons and traveling.
